Louis Roederer invests, for the first time, in Burgundy, with the jewel Domaine Pierre Damoy

Wine has accompanied mankind for millennia, and despite the undeniable challenges of the moment, it will continue to do so. And there are those who continue to invest in the sector, focusing especially on the pinnacle of quality.

Domaine Pierre Damoy encompasses nearly eight hectares of Grand Cru vineyards, located primarily in the prestigious Chambertin, Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, and Chapelle-Chambertin appellations, as well as Clos Tamisot, the Gevrey-Chambertin monopole vineyard. "This exceptional estate also boasts an extraordinary viticultural heritage, characterized by a high proportion of old vines and exceptional genetic diversity."

"In the year Louis Roederer celebrates its 250th anniversary, affirming our presence in Burgundy, one of the world's most prestigious wine-growing regions, and becoming custodians of one of its great estates," commented Frédéric Rouzaud, CEO of Louis Roederer, "takes on a special meaning for us. It is a choice that profoundly reflects who we are: an independent, family-run Maison, committed to the long term, respect for the land, patient, artisanal work, and the passing on of our heritage. It was Domaine Pierre Damoy that inspired us to take this step, because it embodies everything we value most: exceptional terroirs, an extraordinary viticultural heritage, a strong identity, and a history that places it among the most emblematic estates in Burgundy. Our mission now is to support this estate with humility and rigor, continuing the extraordinary work of the Damoy family and preserving everything that makes it truly unique."
