No more lean chicken breasts: with this recipe they will always be juicy and full of flavor

Chicken breast is one of the most popular types of meat, but it has one common problem – it quickly becomes dry, lean and tasteless. Since it contains very little fat, it dries out quickly when baked, especially if it is cooked for too long or at too high a temperature.

Simple trick: marinate the meat and bake it in the oven

But the good news is that a few simple tricks can make a huge difference. One of the best ways is marinating, as it not only spices up the meat, but also helps it retain its juiciness. This marinade, with aromatic spices and refreshing additives, ensures that the chicken breasts are infused with great flavor while baking and remain pleasantly tender.

Baking in the oven also plays an important role, as the meat cooks more evenly than in a pan, so there is less chance of it drying out. The result is golden brown, tender and incredibly tasty chicken breasts that can be served in many ways – with Greek salad, rice, potatoes or pita bread, but they also work great in sandwiches, tortillas and rich salad bowls.

Ingredients:

- 2 pieces of boneless, skinless chicken breast/fillet (500 g)

- 3 cloves of garlic

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- juice of half a lemon

- 1 teaspoon dried oregano

- 1 teaspoon dried chives

- 1 teaspoon dried parsley

- 1 teaspoon paprika powder

- 0.5 teaspoon salt

- ground pepper (to taste)

Preparation:

1. Peel and finely chop or press the garlic, then mix it in a bowl with all the other marinade ingredients.

2. Add the chicken to the bowl and coat it well with the marinade on all sides. Cover with cling film and refrigerate for one hour.

3. Preheat the oven to 230 degrees Celsius.

4. Transfer the marinated chicken breasts to a baking sheet lined with baking paper and place in the oven for about 20 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 73 degrees Celsius or the meat is no longer pink. You can turn the meat halfway through the cooking time.

5. After baking, let the breasts rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve with your chosen side dish or use in sandwiches, tortillas, or salad bowls.
