Cheeseburger, the famous cheese burger that everyone loves!
Finely chop the onion. Slice the gherkin into rounds that aren't too thick.
- 1 pan burger brioche (bun type)
- 1 hamburger patty (ground beef)
- 1 slice of cheddar
- 2 teaspoons of chopped onion
- 1 gherkin
- 2 teaspoons of American mustard
- 2 teaspoons of ketchup
- chips
- Toast the bread for 1–2 minutes in the toaster. This step is optional. Finely chop the onion. Slice the gherkin into rounds that aren't too thick.
- Cook the burger in a pan for 4 minutes per side. You can use whichever you prefer, fresh or frozen (if frozen, the cooking time will vary).
- Place the base of the bread on a plate and spread the chopped onion on top.
- Place the cooked hamburger meat on top, and then the slice of cheddar cheese on top of that so that it melts with the residual heat.
- Add the American mustard, ketchup, and pickle slices.
- Top it off with the top half of the bread and you're done. Serve it with fries, deluxe potato wedges, or coleslaw.
You can use whichever you prefer, fresh or frozen (if frozen, the cooking time will vary).
What type of ground beef fillet should I use?
We used ground beef, but you can choose whichever you prefer. If you'd rather have a meat-free option, you can also substitute a veggie patty (for example, this one). You can use frozen ground beef, but keep in mind that it will need a little more time: cook it a bit longer until it's thoroughly cooked. We used cheddar slices, but you can use any sliced cheese that melts well and is mild, such as Havarti, young Gouda, Edam, or the typical sliced hamburger cheese.
You can use frozen minced meat, but keep in mind that it will need a little more time: cook it a bit longer until it's thoroughly cooked.
