Quick appetizer of cheese with spices and black olives

Method of preparation

Remove the cheese from the brine and dry carefully with kitchen paper.

It is cut into equal cubes to better absorb the aroma of the spices and to look beautiful when served.

Peel the garlic and chop it very finely.

In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic, oregano, dried parsley, chili flakes, and black pepper. Stir well until the spices are evenly distributed in the olive oil.

Place the cheese cubes in a shallow dish or small bowl. Drizzle with the aromatic olive oil and stir very lightly so that they don't crumble. If the cheese is softer, it's best to spread the spices on top with a spoon.

The black olives are added to the cheese or arranged in a separate small bowl for a more impressive presentation.

The appetizer can be served immediately, but if it sits for 10-15 minutes, the flavor becomes more balanced and the spices are better felt.

This quick appetizer of cheese with spices and black olives is served with toast, pita bread, or as part of a platter with other appetizers. Leftovers can be stored in a closed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, leaving them at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.

Try our other exquisite cheese specialties, such as the aromatic Greek-style marinated cheese and the grilled cheese with rosemary and olive oil, which combine Mediterranean flavors and bring true culinary pleasure to the table.
