Iced Irish coffee flavored milkshake

If you love cooling shakes, try the fluffy ice cream cloud shake, as well as the flavorful banana shake for more sweet moments.

Ingredients · Servings 2
  • vanilla ice cream - 300 g
  • fresh milk - 250 ml
  • strong espresso, chilled - 80 ml
  • Irish whiskey - 60 ml
  • brown sugar - 1 tbsp.
  • ice - 150 g
  • finely ground coffee - 1 tsp.
  • coffee beans - 1 tbsp.
Method · 10 min
  1. For this iced Irish coffee-flavored milkshake, first make a strong espresso and let it cool completely. If the coffee is warm, the ice cream will melt too quickly and the drink will not be thick and creamy. For faster results, the espresso can be chilled for a few minutes in the refrigerator.
  2. In the blender jug, place the vanilla ice cream, cold milk, chilled espresso, Irish whiskey, brown sugar, and ice.
  3. Beat everything on high speed for about 40-60 seconds until the mixture is smooth, foamy, and evenly cooled.
  4. If the shake seems too thick, add another 30-40 ml of milk and blend briefly. If a thicker texture is desired, add a little more ice cream.
  5. Taste for sweetness and strength of coffee. Add a pinch of sugar or a little espresso if needed, then blend for a few more seconds. A well-balanced milkshake should have a soft vanilla flavor, a distinct coffee note, and a light Irish whiskey aroma.
  6. Pre-chill the glass cups for 5 minutes in the freezer or fill them with a few ice cubes and discard them before pouring. This will keep the iced shake fresher longer and make it look more appetizing when served.
  7. The finished drink is poured immediately into tall glasses with handles. A little finely ground coffee is sprinkled on top, and a few coffee beans can be arranged around the glasses for aroma and a finished look.
  8. Serve immediately while the foam is fresh and the texture is cold and velvety.
  9. The shake is best freshly blended. If it needs to be stored, it can be refrigerated for up to 2 hours in a closed jug, but it should be blended again briefly before serving, because ice and ice cream change the consistency.
