Baked quenelles with béchamel sauce: the easy recipe
Can quenelles with béchamel sauce be prepared in advance?

- 4 quenelles with poultry (or pike, or truffles)
- 2 slices of cooked ham
- grated cheese
- 50g butter
- 30g flour
- 1/2 liter of milk
- 20 cl fresh cream
- pepper
- cell
- nutmeg
Method · 15 min
- Melt the butter, add the flour, and stir constantly for 5 minutes over high heat. Remove from the heat and add the milk and cream. Stir constantly for 30-45 minutes over low heat. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. The béchamel sauce is ready when it has thickened.
- Place the quenelles in a gratin dish. Cut the cooked ham into small pieces and add it to the béchamel sauce. Pour the béchamel sauce over the quenelles. Sprinkle grated cheese over the entire dish.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C, then bake for about twenty minutes.
Yes, you can prepare the dish a few hours in advance or even the day before and keep it in the refrigerator. Take it out when you're ready to cook it and add a few minutes of cooking time if necessary.
