Fresh fruit skewers

What better way to end a meal than with a burst of color and vitamins? These skewers are the perfect refreshing touch for your summers, especially after a hearty barbecue. Enjoy these fresh fruit skewers, the ideal dessert to finish a meal on a light and vitamin-packed note.

Ingredients · Servings 6 people
  • 1/4 watermelon
  • 3 nectarine
  • 3 pears
  • 2 apples
  • 3 kiwi
  • 2 bananas
  • 12 strawberries
  • powdered sugar
  • vanilla sugar
  • 12 wooden skewers
Method · 30 min
  1. Cut the top off the watermelon and cut out some nice slices, cut into a dozen large cubes, and remove the seeds.
  2. Wash the nectarines and strawberries. Cut the nectarines into eighths around the pit. Peel and dice the apples and pears, peel the kiwi and cut it in half lengthwise. Remove the white core and then slice into half-centimeter pieces. Cut the bananas into even slices.
  3. Thread one of each item onto the wooden skewers, alternating the colors; make the other skewers in exactly the same way until all the fruit is used up. Arrange on a platter.
  4. Remember to sprinkle sugar between each layer of skewers with powdered sugar, also sprinkle with vanilla sugar, it's very good.
  5. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and refrigerate (light alters the colors of the fruit). Serve chilled.
