Homemade almond flour

Save money with this tip for making your own almond flour. An easy method for blanching, drying, and grinding whole almonds.

Ingredients · Servings 6 people
  • 500g almonds
  • 1 unit wok
  • 1 unit saucepan
  • 1 unit food processor
Method · 20 min
  1. Bring a large saucepan of water to a boil. Add the whole almonds and leave them in the boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain them.
  2. To peel them, simply press them between your thumb and forefinger. Caution: the almond is slippery!
  3. Place the almonds in a non-stick wok (or large frying pan) and dry them over low heat for about ten minutes. They are dry enough when they start to crackle. They should not brown.
  4. Place the almonds in the bowl of a food processor fitted with the double blades and process until you obtain a fairly fine powder. Then return the resulting powder to the wok so that it dries completely.
  • Almonds 500 g
