These New Orleans Restaurants Are Holding Off on Reopening Their Dining Rooms
A growing number of restaurants have said they won’t resume dine-in service during phase one of New Orleans’s reopening.
Some restaurants in the area — all three local Hooters for instance — have announced plans to reopen their dining rooms May 16. More have announced dates for next week (Donald Link restaurants Peche and Cochon will resume dine-in service on May 20) or are working towards resuming dine-in service later this month. Still, some are choosing to remain takeout-only through phase one, citing the health and safety of employees and patrons and the need for more time to implement adequate measures.
Below is a list of restaurants holding off on reopening dining rooms, either remaining closed for the time being or continuing takeout and delivery until further notice. Check individual restaurants’ social media for the most up-to-date status and additional reopening plans. This list will continue to be updated as more restaurants announce their plans.
