Kemalpaşa Dessert with Custard

2 tablespoons flour, 2 tablespoons cornstarch

  • ½ cup milk – to dissolve the cornstarch

Powdered pistachios

Add water and granulated sugar to a saucepan, stir until the sugar dissolves, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add the Kemalpaşa desserts and cook for 15 minutes. Arrange the prepared desserts in glass containers, draining them from the syrup.

Pour the milk into a saucepan. Lay your cheesecloth on the counter and place the lavender in the center. Gather the edges together, tie it with string, and place it in the cheesecloth to gently heat the milk.

In a mixing bowl, combine the milk, cornstarch, and flour using a whisk. Add the granulated sugar to the slightly warmed milk and stir until the sugar dissolves. Add the prepared cornstarch mixture to the boiling milk and cook, stirring constantly. Pour the prepared custard over the Kemalpaşa desserts and let it cool. Sprinkle with crushed pistachios and serve chilled.
