Enartis: the vegetal turning point in the clarification process

The knowledge and expertise gained over time have allowed Enartis to develop PLANTIS, a range of plant-protein-based fining agents that enable the production of high-quality wines and meet the demands of increasingly discerning and informed consumers.

Choosing PLANTIS solutions allows you to:

  • Improve clarification by minimizing the percentage of suspended solids.

One of the primary purposes of fining is to improve wine clarity by eliminating unwanted compounds. The PLANTIS range guarantees optimal results and, in many cases, even better than traditional fining agents such as animal gelatins.

2. Reduce the yellow color (optical density 420 nm) by removing oxidized and easily oxidizable polyphenols

The PLANTIS range is particularly effective in decreasing the optical density (OD) at 420 nm thanks to a substantial reduction of oxidized and oxidizable compounds, involved in color browning.

3. Reduction of metals

The PLANTIS range is able to remove up to 30% of the iron present in the must, limiting oxidation processes.

4. Improve taste balance

The PLANTIS range leads to an overall organoleptic improvement when compared to traditional clarification processes that involve the use of gelatins of animal origin.
