These are the Mexican tacos that appeared with Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl
It's crazy how far a taco can take you! That's the opinion of Victor Villa, creator and owner of Villa's Tacos, one of the businesses that made references to Latin identity during Bad Bunny's halftime show at the Super Bowl.
In his 2026 presentation, Bad Bunny included small businesses, such as a cold coconut stand, a nail salon, a shaved ice stand (the kind used in Puerto Rico), and among them, a Mexican taco stand that the singer is a fan of, and this caught the public's attention.
Mexican flavor on the most-watched stage
Villa's Tacos is a Los Angeles-based taqueria founded by chef Victor Villa, who has roots in Michoacán. According to a post on the taqueria's social media, "We sold our first taco in my grandmother's front yard in Highland Park over 8 years ago, and I feel like every taco along the way brought me here."
It was his grandmother and her food that inspired Victor Villa to cook, and since then, he has dedicated himself to creating a space where people can gather to enjoy delicious food and good company.
Over time, it established itself as one of the most renowned taquerias in Los Angeles. Its tacos are distinguished by their use of freshly pressed blue corn tortillas, grilled meats, and preparations that incorporate traditional Mexican techniques—features that have earned it culinary acclaim and a place on lists of top restaurants.
The inclusion of the food stand in the show was interpreted as a tribute to the Latino and immigrant community, as well as to the cultural impact of small businesses in the United States. “I wouldn’t have been able to sell that first taco if my parents hadn’t made the difficult decision to leave their homeland in search of a better life and immigrate to the United States. This is a tribute to all the immigrants who paved the way for us to make this moment possible,” Villa said in his acceptance speech.
Currently, Villa's Tacos has several branches in Los Angeles, California, its menu has been reviewed with excellent reviews in media such as LA Times and the Michelin Guide, in addition to having won Michelin stars for three consecutive years, in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
