Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia: The new luxury gastronomic benchmark in the heart of the Douro wine region

In the heart of Vila Nova de Gaia, one of Portugal's most vibrant and revitalized areas, Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia is born, a five-star hotel that merges the centuries-old history of the world's oldest wine house, Kopke (1638), with a cutting-edge gastronomic offering led by three-Michelin-starred chef Nacho Manzano.

With a prime location overlooking the Douro River and just steps from Porto's historic center, the hotel stands as the epicenter of wine tourism and fine dining in northern Italy. Its five culinary spaces invite guests on a sensory journey through the flavors of the Atlantic and the Douro, in an environment of contemporary elegance and historical inspiration.

1638 Restaurant & Wine Bar by Nacho Manzano

The hotel's signature restaurant pays homage to Kopke's founding year. Here, chef Nacho Manzano offers a gastronomic experience that reinterprets Iberian flavors with both technique and sensitivity. Dishes celebrate the bounty of the sea and the land, paired with unique regional wines and limited editions of white and century-old tawny ports. The Wine Bar, with its impressive display of wines, offers signature port-based cocktails, truffle delicacies, caviar, Iberian ham, and smoked fish, all in a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere. Opening Hours: Restaurant 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Wine Bar 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM.

Boa Vista Terrace by Nacho Manzano

A versatile space open at all hours of the day. From breakfast at dawn to casual dinner, this panoramic terrace offers a menu inspired by the Atlantic, ideal for light meals, business meetings, or get-togethers with friends. Wines from iconic estates like Quinta da Boavista and São Luiz complement every moment. Hours: Breakfast 5:00 – 11:00 | Lunch and Dinner 12:30 – 23:00.

Pool Bar

Nestled within the hotel's tranquil gardens, the Pool Bar is an ode to summer well-being. It offers light meals, refreshing cocktails, and DOC wines that harmonize with a relaxed and natural atmosphere. Opening hours (April to October): 12:30 – 19:00.

Exclusive food and wine experiences

Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia not only offers signature cuisine, but also privileged access to the original Kopke cellars, restored and integrated into the hotel. Private tastings, pairings with rare vintage ports, and guided tours revealing the best-kept secrets of Port wine are part of a unique offering that places the hotel at the pinnacle of luxury wine tourism.

A new era for wine and fine dining lovers

With its five restaurants and bars, Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia is positioning itself as the new must-visit destination for travelers seeking authenticity, sophistication, and a deep connection with Portuguese wine culture and gastronomy. It's an enclave where tradition and innovation meet on the banks of the Douro River.
