Brunch, ‘Puppy Hour,’ and Pretty Cocktails Are Coming to a New Downtown Restaurant
The Colorado building in the Las Vegas Arts District will debut a new restaurant this week, with Palate opening on Main Street with dinner and cocktails. The new restaurant opens at 1301 S. Main Street, Suite 110 on Wednesday, May 22.
Chef Sterling Buckley, who has previously helmed the kitchens at restaurants like La Cave at the Wynn and Honey Salt in Summerlin, is leading Palate. His menu has dishes like soy-charred short ribs, longganisa sliders made with the sweet Filipino sausage, beef tartare, and charcuterie. Behind the bar, signature cocktails include a tequila drink with nitro-muddled rose petals and a classic espresso martini with a topping of pale green matcha cold foam.
The restaurant from Bar-Kada Hospitality Group aims to lean into its home in the Arts District by featuring locally made art inside the restaurant and hosting live entertainment. And outdoor dining and a dog-friendly “puppy hour” will take place on the street-side shaded patio. Palate will be open starting on Wednesday from 3 to 10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, 3 p.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Sunday brunch.
