Shortcrust mushrooms with oil, saffron and dark chocolate

  • 300 g 00 flour
  • 100 ml Oil
  • Whole eggs
  • 60 g Sugar
  • Grated orange zest
  • 1 sachet of saffron
  • Dark chocolate
  • Saffron stigmas for decoration
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt

In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast and saffron.

Add all the other ingredients and knead well until you obtain a smooth dough.

Let it rest for 1 hour and then remove the oil that the paste releases.

Take the dough and knead it again. Roll it out and shape it into mushrooms or other shapes using cookie cutters.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave or in a double boiler. Dip a portion of the biscuit in the chocolate. Decorate with saffron threads.
