Recipe for iced tea with lemon, submitted by Stephanie Vieira Furtado

1. Prepare the tea and let it steep for about 10 minutes (use 200 ml of boiling water).

Ingredients · Servings 2
  • 2 sachets of matte tea
  • 200 ml of boiling water
  • 1/2 lime
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • ice to taste
  • 200 ml of ice water
Method · 30 min
  1. Prepare the tea and let it steep for about 10 minutes (use 200 ml of boiling water).
  2. Place the tea in the freezer or refrigerator and let it cool.
  3. After the tea has cooled, peel the lemon, removing as much of the peel and white pith as possible.
  4. Place the yerba mate tea, 200 ml of iced or cold water, sugar, and ice in the microwave and blend for about 3 minutes.
  5. Note: You can use sweetener; sweeten to your preference.
  6. It's also good without sweetener.
