Pavlova wreath with cheesecake topping

This recipe has a secret... You don't actually have to make everything yourself! Of course, you can, but there's nothing wrong with a little ready-made help. You do, however, still need to give this pavlova some love.

Ingredients · Servings 4 people
  • 200 g granulated sugar
  • 300 g mascarpone
  • 200 ml whipping cream
  • 10 small meringue wreaths
  • fruit of your choice
  • 2 sprigs of mint
  • a few edible flowers for decoration
  • piping bag
Method · 5 min
  1. Whip the cream with the sugar until fluffy. Fold in the mascarpone.
  2. Arrange the meringue rings on a beautiful platter in the shape of a Christmas wreath and spread the mascarpone mixture over them.
  3. Finish the pavlova wreath with fruit you like, for example redcurrant, kiwi, apple, blueberry, persimmon, and orange.
  4. Pick the small mint leaves and place them among the fruit. Finish with some edible flowers.

Everything you need to know

A lightly sparkling wine, such as a Prosecco or a Moscato d'Asti. The bubbles in the wine pair well with the airy character of the pavlova, while the sweetness of the Moscato complements the fruit and whipped cream in the dessert.

A light white beer with fruity notes, such as a Belgian white beer, can be a good complement to this dessert. The fruity flavors in the beer pair well with the fresh fruit in the pavlova.

A refreshing and alcohol-free choice is to mix white grape juice with sparkling water. This creates a light and bubbly drink that can complement the sweet and fruity flavors of the dessert.
