Which Nashville Restaurants, Bars, and Cafes Are Open During the January Winter Storm
Nashville was rocked by a winter snowstorm that began Sunday evening (January 14), forcing many restaurants — and much of the city — to close early as highways and side streets became unsafe to navigate.
Temperatures began to climb yesterday, melting some of the snow just in time for the region to experience a second winter blast that’s expected to drop temperatures as low as five degrees this weekend, creating dangerously icy conditions on the road. As a result, many Nashville restaurants, food carts, cafes, and bars have decided to close for service throughout the weekend, with tentative plans to reopen on Monday.
However, some businesses have decided to brave the weather to stay open today and throughout the weekend. We’ve compiled a list of winter storm dining options below; keep in mind that some restaurants and cafes may decide to close early or not open at all, so it’s best to check Instagram before heading out in the ice for some doughnuts. Also, some employees endured rough conditions to get to work today, so consider tipping generously. We’ll work to keep this list updated through the weekend as best as possible.
