The best burrata in the world
From north to south, Italy is rich in products the world envies us, and among these, Puglia's burrata undoubtedly stands out, a delicious casket of stretched curd cheese enclosing a soft, creamy heart of stracciatella.
A delight made in Puglia
The World Championship Cheese Contest answered our question, awarding Deliziosa burrata the world's best burrata in 2024. Produced by Delizia, a company founded in 1992 by Giovanni D'Ambruoso, it is handcrafted by expert cheesemakers, using milk selected daily within a radius of just 30 kilometers. Processing takes place in state-of-the-art facilities, equipped with the most modern production technologies and designed for worker well-being and environmental protection, with photovoltaic and water recovery systems.
From the very beginning, the company has aimed to publicize and promote the many Apulian dairy specialties: among the fresh cheeses, in addition to classic burrata, there are special burratas, smoked or with white truffle, stracciatella, nodini, quadrifoglio, treccia and treccione, fiordilatte, giuncata, tenerello, ricotta, cacioricotta, scamorza, and smoked scamorza. The assortment also includes semi-aged cheeses, such as canestrello and caciocavallo Silano DOP, and cave-aged cheeses, such as pecorino, caciocavallo, and trullocchiato. The selection also includes lactose-free cheeses, those with less than 60% salt, organic cheeses, and specialty cheeses, such as caciotta leccese, pecorino d'Angiò, ricotta cream, and mixed sheep's milk cacioricotta.
Perfect for summer
Fresh and creamy, Deliziosa burrata is perfect for summer lunches. Enjoy it plain, with just a drizzle of Apulian olive oil and freshly ground pepper, or with a plate of grilled vegetables. It can enhance a fruit and vegetable salad or be the star ingredient in a pizza or pinsa. We also love it as a topping for cold pasta dishes, paired with basil, lemon zest, 'nduja, or whatever your culinary imagination suggests.
