Food lovers descend on Welsh market town for world-famous festival

It is the event that foodies across the country look forward to

It's the time of year that food lovers across the country mark firmly on their calendars - Abergavenny Food Festival.

Over two days, thousands of visitors descended on the small market town for a celebration of good food, great produce and the people behind it. The atmosphere stretched across the town, with the festival bringing a welcome buzz to streets and venues throughout Abergavenny.

And on Sunday, the festival was basking in glorious sunshine; as visitors wandered between stalls, stopping to sample local produce, discover new flavours and soak up the atmosphere.

There was plenty to see and do beyond the food stalls, too. The weekend programme featured chef demonstrations, tastings and food debates alongside author talks, hands-on workshops and guided walks. Families were also well catered for, with activities for younger visitors, while live music provided a soundtrack to the weekend.
