Delta Coffee House Experience and Fernando Taipa create new drinks that combine coffee and dessert
Delta Coffee House Experience presented the fourth edition of its special Wonder Coffee line, entitled “Double Dare”, developed in collaboration with bartender Fernando Taipa, winner of World Class Portugal 2025 and distinguished as Best Portuguese Bartender at the Lisbon Bar Show 2026.
The concept is based on two distinct creations made with Impossible Coffee blends. The alcoholic option, called Limbo, uses Thai-origin coffee "Toki Forest Coffee" to recreate the aromatic profile and texture of a vanilla cheesecake. The non-alcoholic alternative, named Limiar, is based on Colombian coffee "Nasa We'xs Indigenous Community Coffee" and draws inspiration from the bartender's childhood traditional dessert flavors.
Regarding the launch, Clara Melícias, B2C Director of the Nabeiro Group, highlights that “Wonder Coffees were created to challenge the way we look at coffee. In this fourth edition, we wanted to go even further and bring together two universes that share creativity, technique, and attention to detail: coffee and cocktails. With Fernando Taipa, we created two unexpected proposals, capable of transforming familiar flavors into a surprising experience.” The recipe creator, Fernando Taipa, adds that “the starting point was the challenge of thinking about coffee beyond how we usually consume it. With Limbo and Limiar, we worked with coffee as an ingredient and as a central element of the experience, crossing it with references to the world of desserts.”
The two drinks are part of the Wonder Coffees collection, which follows previous editions focused on urban art in collaboration with the artist Add Fuel. The Limbo and Limiar offerings are now available at Delta Coffee House Experience locations for €8 each.
