Caramelized Bacon Popcorn Ice Cream

Pour cream over 50g of popcorn.

Step 1

Pour cream over 50g of popcorn. Refrigerate for 30 minutes. Strain through cheesecloth. Squeeze thoroughly.

Step 2

While the cream is fragrant, prepare the caramelized bacon. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Coat the bacon slices in cane sugar. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10 minutes. Flip and bake for another 10 minutes. Cool, then cut into small cubes.

Step 3

Pour cold flavored cream into the bowl of a stand mixer. Add cold condensed milk. Beat on high speed until fluffy.

Step 4

Add the bacon. Stir gently with a spatula. Transfer to a container and freeze for at least 6 hours.

Step 5

Rolled ice cream is one of the most spectacular desserts of recent years, first going viral on social media and then appearing in cafes around the world. It's prepared right in front of guests: a liquid milk mixture is frozen on an ice-cold metal plate, rolled into neat rolls, and decorated with berries, chocolate, and other toppings. We explain what rolled ice cream is, how it differs from regular ice cream, why it has become a global trend, and whether it can be made at home.

Bacon is a product that has long since transcended the boundaries of mere cold meats and has earned a special place in the culinary world. Its unique aroma, golden-brown crust after frying, and distinctive meaty texture are unmistakable. Today, bacon is fried until crispy, added to salads, soups, sandwiches, and even desserts (we'll talk about that too).

Ice cream with tomatoes, cucumbers, bacon, and spices, made from beer, with hot peppers, and other seasonings. Sound unusual? Absolutely. But ice cream with unusual flavors has been gaining popularity around the world lately. Try making at least one of them. Perhaps you too will join the ranks of experimental cooks and create new flavors of a childhood favorite.
