Black Tiger prawns (headless, shellless, ready to cook, thawed, approx. 200 g)
Ingredients · Servings 2
- 200 g Wassermelone
- 8 Black Tiger Garnele
- 2 Knoblauchzehe
- 4 El Olivenöl
- 1 Tl mildes Currypulver
- 2 Stiele Minze
- 10 g Ingwer
- 1 El Sojasauce
- 3 El Limettensaft
- 1 Tl Honig
- Salz
- Pfeffer
- 0,5 Mango
- 1 Mini-Salatgurke
Method · 35 min
- Melone schälen, in 2–3 cm große Würfel schneiden. Melonenwürfel und Garnelen abwechselnd auf Holzspieße stecken. Knoblauch fein hacken.
- Peel the melon and cut it into 2–3 cm cubes. Thread the melon cubes and shrimp alternately onto wooden skewers. Finely chop the garlic. Mix 2 tablespoons of olive oil, the garlic, and the curry powder, pour over the skewers, and let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, pluck the mint leaves from the stems and finely chop them. Peel and finely chop the ginger. Combine both with soy sauce, lime juice, honey, and 2 tablespoons of oil, and season with salt and pepper. Peel the mango. Cut the flesh away from the pit and dice it. Halve the cucumber lengthwise, remove the seeds with a spoon, and finely dice the flesh. Mix the mango and cucumber with the dressing.
- Grill the skewers on a hot grill or in a hot grill pan for about 3 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper and serve with cucumber and mint salad.
»e&t« chef Jens Hildebrandt: "My tip for skewer users: Soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes before use. Firstly, this prevents them from burning, and secondly, it makes it easier to remove the food from the skewers."
We recommend shrimp from organic aquaculture. These farms maintain low stocking densities to ensure the ecosystem in the ponds remains intact.
