Located right next to Jalan Besar MRT Station, Glacier is a newly opened cafe showcasing a simple yet IG-worthy interior. What’s unique about this place is that they open till 1am on weekends, so you can pop by for creamy gelato, waffles, and babkas for supper!
The best-seller here at Glacier is the Pandan Mochi Waffles ($8) that is filled with six squares of stretchy mochi cubes. Top your waffles off with interesting gelato flavours, including Blue Pea Lemongrass Pandan ($5) and Oolong Osmanthus ($5). With a rich history dating back to 1925, Chin Mee Chin Confectionery has reopened after their closure back in 2018! You can’t miss out on their charcoal-toasted Kaya Toast ($2.20) that is slathered with creamy house-made Kaya (from $7 a jar) and a slab of butter.
Dunk these in runny soft boil Eggs ($1.60) to complete your breakfast experience. Apart from kaya toast and eggs, there are other sweet treats available here, including the Cheesecake Brownie ($2.60), Chocolate Cupcake ($1.80), and a Plain Cupcake ($1.60) as well.

The owners of The Feather Blade first wow-ed us with Rappu, their sushi roll concept late last year. Now, they have just come up with a fusion taco concept named MEZCLA, opened just a stone’s throw away from Rappu.
Take a bite into their unique Salmon Skin Taco ($12.50+), which cleverly uses Mexican techniques and flavours on fresh Japanese ingredients. A personal favourite is their Ancho Chile Pork Jowl Taco ($8.50+), filled with juicy and fatty cuts of pork, bedazzled with crunchy chicharrones atop.
