Canada’s Tim Hortons Opens First SG Outlet, Get Doughnuts, Iced Coffee And Sourdough Melts Here
Tim Hortons opens in Singapore at VivoCity If you’ve ever been to Canada or the United States, chances are you’d have come across a Tim Hortons cafe.
The franchise, best known for their coffees and doughnuts, made public earlier this year that they’d open their very first Singapore outlet. Good news, they’re officially here, with the first Tim Hortons Singapore outpost located at VivoCity . Tim Hortons hails from Ontario, Canada, and right now has 5,700 outlets around the world.
They’re the number one coffee house in Canada, and is a great, casual spot to have coffee, a sweet treat, or to grab a quick bite. Their Singapore outlet is located on the first floor of VivoCity—you won’t miss the sprawling doughnut counter calling your name.
The Maple Cinnamon Latte ($7) is great for this time of the year, bringing on the Christmas vibes with its subtle spiciness, and rounded sweetness from the legit maple savour used. Singapore’s hot climate means a lot of us prefer our coffees iced, and Tim Hortons has our backs with their famed Ice Capps.
These ice-blended cappuccinos are available in a handful of variations, but we suggest their Salted Caramel Macchiato Iced Capp ($7) if you’ve got a sweet tooth. It’s worth noting that all their coffees are made with 100% premium, responsibly sourced Arabica beans.
Non-coffee drinkers will as well be happy to know that they have a range of teas, including the refreshing Iced Peach Oolong ($6) . Rates start at $2.90 for their Classic Glaze Donut , and go up to $4.50 for their more premium flavours. The Maple Salted Caramel Donut ($3.50) is a must-try.
The Boston Cream ($3.50) is another unique option, glazed with dark chocolate and packed with a luscious custard cream. Get six doughnuts for $20 if you’re planning to acquire some for your loved ones—though only select flavours apply. Tim Hortons is also known for their small Timbits , AKA bite-sized doughnuts priced from $1 to $1.50 each, or $10 for 10.
They’re all priced under $10 and great for a grab-and-go meal, alongside their coffees. Our recommendations include the Maple Glazed Chicken Ham & Cheese Melt ($9.90) , where the maple-glazed chicken adds a bit of sweetness, balanced by the tang of the mustard.
The Triple Cheese & Caramelised Onion Melt ($8.90) is another fave—the onions are cooked till sweet and tender, while the melted cheese brings on the savoury. To celebrate their debut, Tim Hortons has a huge array of debut promos.
First up, they’re giving away one regular Cafe Latte for free per week for six months, for the first 100 guests daily if you swing by the VivoCity outlet between 17 November to 19 November. If you’re planning to dress up to their debut, 30 of the best-dressed folks in line will get a Tims Swag Box, with up to $80 worth of merch!
