Keen’s Bagelry Review: Popular Bagel Shop Reopens In CBD With New Menu
Keen’s Bagelry is a popular bagel shop near Downtown MRT After a brief hiatus, the popular bagel shop, Keen’s Bagelry , has finally reopened!
Now located in the CBD, the team has expanded its menu to include more exciting flavours that bagel fans will be eager to check out. Despite my colleague and I arriving before lunch hours, we still had to queue for around 20 minutes before we could order.
This proves that Keen’s Bagelry is still the popular bagel spot it once was. Food at Keen’s Bagelry We began our meal with the Hashstack ($13) bagel, which comprises hashbrown, Hokkaido milk scrambled eggs and cheese, gouda, as well as house-made truffle mayo. We in addition added Streaky Bacon ($3.50) for a more savoury kick.
This dish was super creamy and savoury, thanks to the soft scrambled eggs and melted gouda cheese. Per to The crispy bacon, a hint of smokiness and saltiness, complementing the eggs and cheese.
Despite the amount of elements inside, the bagels themselves remained thick and chewy, holding all of the goodness in. Seafood fans can opt for the Loxu ($16) , a bagel consisting of smoked Chilean salmon, house-made scallion cream cheese, red onions, tomatoes, and capers.
Because the smoked salmon and juicy tomatoes struck a good balance between sweet and savoury notes, I found this to be quite a refreshing bagel. The scallion cream cheese as well complemented the briny taste of the smoked salmon.
Finally, we tried the Truffle Garlic Chicken ($13.50) , where oven-baked truffle chicken leg, gouda cheese, and house-made salad are held between two thick bagel buns. The gouda cheese made this bagel even more savoury, while the greens added a refreshing taste. For drinks, Keen’s bagelry collaborated with with Bootstrap, a local brewery, to bring four types of cold brew coffee and tea options.
We tried the Milk and Manuka Cold Brew Coffee ($8) and the Hojicha Pure Tea ($6.50) — both were refreshing and served as great palate cleansers after all those bagels. Ambience at Keen’s Bagelry Keen’s Bagelry is located on the second floor of Asia Square Tower 2 , in the heart of the CBD.
While the bagelry only caters to takeaway orders, there are plenty of public dining spots for you to enjoy your bagels. The verdict Keen’s Bagelry remains a great spot for those looking for delicious, packed bagels. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of each bagel, and I would definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
