Xerigots celebrates 15 years of history
Xerigots is fifteen years old and is celebrating with a big party dedicated to its main character: cheese. The Gran Xerigotada will take place on Friday, October 16, starting at 7:30 p.m., at the Hotel Boutique Font de la Canya, in Avinyonet del Penedès.
The festival will feature more than 100 artisan cheeses, from different types of milk, processing, maturation and origins. Likewise, the gastronomic tour will be completed with tastings of dishes made with cheese by different restaurants in the area, and there will be a wine, sparkling wine and kombucha bar.
The day will also have a more informative aspect, with a conversation and gathering around Xerigots' new book, Formatges: Consells, secrets i recetes irresistibles. And, as befits a birthday party, music will play a prominent role, with live performances and a DJ in charge of putting the finishing touches to the night.
The ticket price is 70 euros (does not include coffee, liquor or drinks during the DJ session).
