Recipe: Cookies like at Mie Caline

A very simple and tasty recipe that will delight many, as it closely resembles the cookies from Mie Caline!

  • 200g of dark chocolate chips or crushed chocolate bar
  • 200g of all-purpose or sifted flour
  • 170g of brown sugar or white sugar
  • 110g of melted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 30g of vanilla sugar
  • 10 g of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt or fine salt
  • Whip
  • Microwave oven
  • Traditional oven
  • Baking paper
  • Oven baking tray
  • 1. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F). Weigh the sugars and mix them together. Melt the butter in the microwave for about 1 minute and mix it with the sugars. Add the egg and whisk again. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt. If you have them, add the hazelnut powder and praline, stir in the chocolate chips, and mix everything together.
  • 2. Using a spoon, place small mounds of dough, spacing them well apart, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes. They should still be soft. Let them cool on a wire rack to harden.

If you have a handful of hazelnut powder or praline on hand, it will be even better!

For added indulgence and savings, crush pieces of chocolate yourself to make large homemade chocolate chips.

To make cookies of a regular shape, use an ice cream scoop.
