Zum Ochsen in Schöftland

Self-description

At the Gasthaus zum Ochsen in Schöftland, cooking becomes a passion: every dish tells a story of creativity, craftsmanship, and pure dedication. I am Immanuel Kirisits, 21 years old, head chef and host – and I am living my dream of creating fine dining in my own, authentic way.

Our concept combines tradition with innovation. Everything is homemade – from sourdough bread and focaccia to fermented and pickled products, right down to dry-aged grass-fed beef. Miso, koji, and fermentation expand our flavors, allow for new taste combinations, and shape our dishes, which are vibrant, precise, and surprising.

For me, cooking is an expression of passion and personality. Every dish reflects technique, creativity, and attention to detail. We experiment, play with textures, aromas, and colors, and thus create culinary moments that inspire.

Regular gourmet dinners and culinary events demonstrate that our approach works: craftsmanship, innovation, and passion merge to create cuisine that touches, inspires, and leaves a lasting impression. At the Gasthaus zum Ochsen, it's not just about food – it's about an experience that you can taste, feel, and live.

Immerse yourself in my world of honest cuisine – I look forward to welcoming you to the Gasthaus zum Ochsen.
