Wine Sago

1. Place the tapioca pearls in a bowl with the water and let them soak for 15 minutes.

Ingredients · Servings 10
  • 2 cups of tapioca pearls
  • 4 cups of red wine
  • Sugar to taste
  • 6 cups of water

  1. Place the tapioca pearls in a bowl with the water and let them soak for 15 minutes.
  2. After draining the water from the sago, boil it in water for about 10 to 15 minutes, stirring constantly.
  3. After 15 minutes, or as soon as some of the balls start to become transparent, pour the contents of the pan into a colander and rinse to remove the slime resulting from cooking.
  4. While it's draining, put the wine, sugar, and a cup of water in a saucepan.
  5. When it starts to boil, add the tapioca pearls and let it cook for another 15 minutes, until all the pearls become transparent.
  6. Place in a container and let cool.
