Tips
Play with spices to enhance your creamy soup.
Don't hesitate to add a touch of originality to your soup by adding a pinch of nutmeg, cumin, or even a little mild curry powder. These spices pair wonderfully with the sweetness of pumpkin and will subtly enhance your creamy soup while remaining delicate. For those who enjoy exotic flavors, try a touch of freshly grated ginger just before blending.
Replace or supplement the vegetables according to the season.
There's no longer any reason to miss out on a creamy soup if you don't have all the ingredients on hand! Replace the potato with a sweet potato for a deliciously sweet touch. Add some carrots for a pop of color, or mix things up by combining butternut squash, pumpkin, or even sweet potato, depending on your mood.
Prepare your own croutons for an extra touch of indulgence.
Simply make your own croutons by cutting up pieces of stale bread, then toasting them for a few minutes in a pan with a little olive oil, garlic, and herbes de Provence. This zero-waste tip adds crunch, aroma, and a lovely homemade touch to your pumpkin soup.
Dare to add a creative and vibrant finishing touch.
Elevate your dish by sprinkling it with pumpkin seeds, a few crushed hazelnuts, or a drizzle of walnut oil just before serving. This finishing touch will add crunch, flavor, and enrich your dish with beneficial nutrients. Add a few sprigs of chives for a fresh and colorful note before serving.
