Cabbage waffles (made from white cabbage)
Prepare the necessary ingredients for baking cabbage waffles from white cabbage.
Shred the cabbage very thinly.
Place the cabbage in a bowl, add salt and sugar. Rub the cabbage thoroughly with your hands until it softens and releases juice.
Add the egg and mix it thoroughly with the cabbage.
Start adding flour and mixing it into the dough.
The dough should be quite thick, stick well to the spoon and not drip off.
Preheat an electric waffle iron for thick waffles. Before each waffle, grease the plates with vegetable oil to prevent the cabbage waffles from sticking.
Place a small amount of cabbage batter into the waffle iron wells.
Close the waffle iron and cook the cabbage waffles until golden brown (about 3-5 minutes, depending on the power of your waffle iron). Continue cooking until all the batter is used up. This recipe requires only a small amount of ingredients; I made 4 waffles. However, you can always increase the recipe proportionally if you're cooking for a larger family.
Your cabbage waffles are ready. Serve warm with sour cream.
Bon appetit!
