Soft, flavorful, and ready in 15 minutes without rising! This is the perfect finger food to save your evening or enhance your buffet

Looking for a delicious and easy appetizer? Quick baked savory donuts are the perfect way to impress your guests with zero hassle and maximum results.

Ingredients · Servings 12 pieces
  • Flour 00 200 gr
  • 2 medium eggs
  • Whole milk 100 ml
  • Sunflower seed oil 50 ml
  • 50g grated Parmigiano Reggiano
  • Instant baking powder for savory pies 1 sachet 16g
  • Cooked ham 80g
  • Provola or scamorza 80g
  • 1 pinch of fine salt
  • Black pepper
  • Sesame or poppy seeds
Method · 35 min
  1. Crack the eggs into a large bowl and whisk them quickly with a hand whisk. Gradually pour in the milk, then the sunflower oil, continuing to whisk until the mixture is smooth and liquid. Then, sift the flour directly into the bowl.
  2. Sift the instant yeast and fold it into the mixture, whisking vigorously to avoid lumps. Finally, add the grated Parmigiano Reggiano, a pinch of salt, and a sprinkling of black pepper.
  3. Stir again, then add the diced cooked ham and scamorza cheese to the mixture. Gently fold in with a spatula to distribute the ingredients evenly.
  4. Spoon the mixture into the bundt pans (using a piping bag or a spoon), filling them about three-quarters full. Garnish the tops with a handful of sesame seeds. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 18-20 minutes, until they're nicely puffed and golden brown (always test with a toothpick). Remove from the oven, let cool for 5 minutes, and then remove the bundt pans from the pan. Serve warm with melted cheese or at room temperature.

Imagine biting into a golden crust topped with crunchy sesame seeds, only to discover an incredibly soft and chewy center thanks to the still-warm provola cheese. A true delight that will sell out like hot cakes!

They're made by mixing everything together in a single bowl, eliminating the need for lengthy waiting. One important tip: be very careful not to fill the silicone molds more than 3/4 full. The dough, rich in instant yeast, will rise very quickly in the oven and risk overflowing, losing its characteristic center hole.

These delicious single-servings are the perfect solution if you're looking for delicious, homemade finger food for an easy aperitivo. Simply pair them with a few quick puff pastry appetizers to have your table set in a flash.

Don't have a bundt pan? No problem! Use a cupcake pan and make soft savory muffins, or opt for a family-sized version with the legendary 7-jar savory bundt cake, equally practical and scale-free.

For a truly complete and unforgettable birthday buffet, serve the donuts alongside the ever-present buffet pizzas and a lovely platter of light and delicious savory pies. Now put on your apron and let's get to work!
