It's not just good for whipping: you can use a food processor for so many things
Coleslaw, smoothies, pizza dough and banana bread - we didn't leave it to chance and put the Kenwood Multi Tasker through its paces to see if it's really worth the price. Here's how it performed in the various tasks!
Chops and slices
Preparing cabbage and carrots for coleslaw is not a particularly complicated task, but it can be time-consuming, especially if you are making a large batch. This is where the Kenwood Multi Tasker food processor comes into play, as it comes with three different discs, so it can be used for slicing and grating. It can prepare a large batch of vegetables in a short time, saving you a lot of time, not to mention washing up. Of course, if you only want to grate a carrot or two, it may not be worth setting up a food processor, but for a large batch of salad, it will take a lot of work off your shoulders.
We can also make milkshakes and smoothies with it
One of the great advantages of the Kenwood Multi Tasker food processor is that it also comes with a blender. It's perfect for making soups and smoothies, and we tested it with the latter. A smoothie is certainly not the toughest test of a food processor, but it does show how practical it is not to have to keep a separate blender on the counter or take it out of the cupboard.
SK tip: if you use frozen vegetables and fruits, add a little water and your smoothie will be ready faster!
Kneads airy, springy dough in 10 minutes
Of course, we tried it out in the task that first comes to mind when using a food processor, and we were not disappointed, in fact! One of the most convenient things about kneading is that while the machine is working, you don't have to stand next to it and knead the dough by hand, of course, it doesn't matter what the end result will be. We clicked on the dough hook, and the end result was exactly what we expect from a good pizza dough: springy, airy and soft.
We can also make perfect cookies with it
Speaking of a stand mixer, we also tested its skills on a cake: we threw together a banana bread. The large bowl can hold a large batch of cake ingredients, and you can choose between 7 speeds and a turbo mode, so you don't have to mix everything at the same speed. The Kenwood Multi Tasker perfectly delivers what we basically expect from a stand mixer, but make sure to use the protective cover if you don't want everything to be floury around you. Plus, the 4.3-liter bowl also has a handle, which may seem like a small thing, but when you need to pour the dough out of it, it's extremely practical.
