Alex Drummond Shares Adorable Photos of Her Daughter Doing Her ‘Favorite Activity’

Alex Drummond shared a few updates from the home front last week—and Sofia’s idea of a good time involved getting thoroughly soaked. Her baby brother Charlie had been home for a little more than a week, and while Alex and her husband, Mauricio, were ready for some quiet moments on the patio, their daughter had been enjoying a considerably splashier version of outdoor fun.

“Reconnecting with nature after last night ,” Alex wrote over a photo of their backyard break, adding “#teamnosleep.” Mauricio had his feet up across from her, with Charlie in the foreground and the family dog stretched out nearby.

There have been plenty of newborn cuddles since Charlie came home, but sleep has been harder to come by. Alex previously shared that one late-night attempt to settle him in his bassinet ended with her back to holding him at 2:48 a.m. “I would say some moments we’re thriving, some moments we’re surviving,” she said in another update about the two-under-two adjustment. She and Mauricio have been dividing up kid duty, with Dad spending much of his time with Sofia while Alex cares for Charlie.

“Played in the hose last night,” Alex wrote. The next picture caught Sofia right in the spray, with wet hair curling over her forehead and her eyes squeezed shut, grinning so widely you could see those little teeth. Her shirt was drenched, but that smile hadn’t gone anywhere while she enjoyed “her favorite activity!”

Sofia certainly seems to have the “thriving” part covered. Here’s hoping a little backyard time did Mom and Dad some good and that their next family update comes after a much better night’s sleep!
