The 10 Most Expensive Tequilas in the World (2026)

Guirnalda from Clase Azul’s Master Artisans lineup was aged for over eight years, moving from American whiskey casks to sherry barrels to finishing in Madeira casks.

Another expression from Clase Azul’s Master Artisans collection, the Cobalto was created in collaboration with master artisan Jesús Guerrero Santos.

Rounding out the Master Artisans — and all Clase Azuls on this list — is the limited-edition Angel Santos. Only 300 bottles of this highly coveted extra añejo were released to markets.

  1. Clase Azul Eduardo Sarabia Limited Edition Tequila Joven, Jalisco, Mexico

Clase Azul collaborated with Mexican-American contemporary artist Eduard Sarabia for this limited-edition release. This Joven blend — of which only 450 exist — combines Clase Azul blanco, Russian oak-aged añejo, and sherry cask-aged añejo.

  2. Patrón Limited Edition En Lalique Serie 2 Tequila Extra Añejo, Jalisco, Mexico

The second edition of Patrón’s En Lalique series — released in 2017 — was aged for eight years in American oak, French oak, and ex-sherry barrels with just 299 bottles hitting markets.

  3. Clase Azul Puebla Limited Edition Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico

This extra-aged tequila from Clase Azul, which matures in antique French barrels, is produced as an homage to the Battle of Puebla. There are only 300 hand-numbered bottles in existence.

  4. Dos Armadillos ‘Sterling Silver’ Tequila Extra Añejo, Jalisco, Mexico

This luxe bottling from Dos Armadillos is a twice-distilled tequila aged for over eight years. The ornate clay decanter is decorated with sterling silver.

Patrón’s third series of its En Lalique lineup released in 2022 and is an extra añejo housed in crystal decanters.

Clase Azul’s Canela from the Master Artisans series is an extra añejo finished in ex-American whiskey, ex-amontillado sherry, and ex-Madeira casks.
