Meringues on sticks
A bright and unusual dessert.
Ingredients · Servings 20–25 pieces
- 4 squirrels
- 200 g of sugar
- 100 ml of water
- food colorings
- skewers
Method
- Add sugar to water.
- Bring to a boil.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes (if you have a cooking thermometer, until the temperature reaches 121 degrees).
- Beat the whites.
- Pour the hot syrup into the whites, continuing to beat (pour carefully so that the syrup does not get on the whisk).
- Beat until a fluffy, strong mass forms.
- Set aside some of the whipped whites and mix the rest with food coloring.
- Place uncolored egg whites in one pastry bag and colored egg whites in another.
- Insert a pastry tip (I use a closed star tip) into the third bag. Insert both bags of egg whites into the bag with the tip.
- Place the meringues (5-7 cm in diameter).
- Insert the sticks.
- If you have room, you can add more meringues. Place in an oven preheated to 90 degrees Celsius. Bake (dry) for 1.5–2 hours.
Perfect for a children's party. These meringues can also be used to decorate a cake.
The specified amount of ingredients makes 20–25 pieces.
Bon appetit!
