Easy and melt-in-your-mouth coconut and condensed milk flan cake

Somewhere between a cake and a flan, this coconut dessert is best enjoyed chilled, by the spoonful! Called "Docinho do Céu," it combines condensed milk, coconut milk, and shredded coconut for a melt-in-your-mouth texture with that delightful little bump we all love.

Ingredients · Servings 8
  • 3 eggs
  • 397 g of sweetened condensed milk (one can)
  • 100 ml of coconut milk
  • 100 ml of milk (whole or semi-skimmed)
  • 80g of dried grated coconut
  • Butter for greasing the mold
  • Grated coconut for the mold
Method · 3 h 35 min
  1. Put all the ingredients (eggs, condensed milk, coconut milk, milk and grated coconut) into the blender.
  2. Mix everything together for a few seconds to obtain a smooth paste.
  3. Preheat the oven to 190°C. Butter the mold and sprinkle it with grated coconut.
  4. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for about 30 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick. It doesn't need to come out completely dry (this cake should have a moist texture).
  5. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for 3 hours before serving.
  6. Gently run a thin knife around the edges of the mold before unmolding.
  7. It's ready. Enjoy your meal!
