It seems like a risky combination, but anyone who tastes these skewers asks for more: the secret to a contrast that is truly addictive

Summer brings a symphony of colors and contrasts to the table, instantly lighting up the atmosphere of outdoor evenings. Imagine the scent of a sizzling grill mingling with an unexpected pairing.

Ingredients · Servings 4
  • Yellow peaches 2
  • Bacon 12 fat
  • 100g provola or scamorza cheese
  • Acacia honey 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh rosemary
  • Black pepper
  • Sale
Method · 25 min
  1. Start by preparing the fruit: thoroughly wash the fresh peaches under running water. Dry them thoroughly by gently patting them with paper towels to remove any residual water. Then, cut them into wedges or medium-sized cubes, the perfect size for easy skewering. You can decide whether to keep the peel on or remove it, depending on your personal taste.
  2. Lay the bacon slices out on a cutting board and cut them in half to get the perfect size. Take each peach wedge and, for an even richer flavor, top it with a tasty cheese cube. Wrap everything tightly in the bacon, forming compact bites that won't open up during cooking.
  3. It's time to assemble your summer skewers: thread 3 or 4 bacon-wrapped morsels onto each skewer. Remember to add a few fresh rosemary leaves between each piece to enhance the dish. This little touch will release an irresistible aroma during cooking, winning over everyone even before they've tasted it.
  4. Place the grill pan on the stove and heat the nonstick griddle over medium-high heat before starting. Carefully place the skewers on top and continue cooking for about 8-10 minutes. Carefully turn them on all sides until the bacon is crispy and the peach is slightly tender.
  5. Once cooked, carefully transfer the skewers to a serving platter. Create a delicious sweet and sour contrast by drizzling a little honey over the top. Finish the dish with a sprinkling of freshly ground black pepper for a spicy touch. Serve immediately to your guests: piping hot and fragrant, they'll be a real treat!

Making peach and bacon skewers means just that: transforming a simple appetizer into a gourmet experience to share with those you love.

The juicy sweetness of fresh seasonal fruit blends perfectly with the crunchy, savory texture of the meat, creating a perfect balance on the palate.

If you love enhancing sweet and sour flavors, grilling brings out the fruit's natural sugars, a foolproof trick that makes even a dessert like grilled peaches special.

Playing with opposites is a winning move in the kitchen. Just think of revisited classics like the summery peach caprese, or the comforting melon and prosciutto parcels.

To vary the textures and colors on your cutting board, you can amaze your guests by alternating the saltiness of bacon with the bright, thirst-quenching colors of melon and watermelon skewers.

Just a few ingredients are enough to bring an original summer appetizer to the table in less than a quarter of an hour.
