East German recipes like Grandma used to make - here you'll find my favorite recipes from my home in East Germany.

Whether it's egg ragout, hunter's schnitzel with noodles and GDR tomato sauce, braised cucumbers, broiler, cold dog or quark dumplings - the cuisine of the former GDR has a lot to offer and since I grew up in this country until the age of 7, it has significantly influenced me.

In this recipe collection, you'll find many traditional recipes from eastern Germany that are still very popular here and aren't just served in restaurants. Most of the recipes come from my 93-year-old grandmother's cookbook, and you'll also find home-style cooking from my parents and in-laws.
