Halfway between a classic diner cheeseburger and a casual dip, cheeseburger dip is a shareable appetizer that's always a hit. Also plan for:
10 ml (2 tsp) chopped garlic
15 ml (1 tbsp) dried parsley
Steps
In a frying pan, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Cook the ground beef for 5 to 7 minutes, breaking up the meat, until it has lost its pink color.
Add the onion and garlic. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
Pour the evaporated milk into a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 1 to 2 minutes over low heat.
Add the melted cheese mixture and heat, stirring with a wooden spoon until it becomes more fluid.
Stir in half of the ground beef. Add pepper and heat for 1 to 2 minutes.
Transfer the mixture to a serving bowl. Top with the remaining ground beef, tomatoes, and parsley.
