The Most Spirited Holiday Bar and Restaurant Pop-Ups and Events in Seattle

Got a little Christmas spirit in you? If you want some, these pop-up bars, restaurants, and drinks are some of the best holiday dip-ins that the city has to share.

All that shopping for other people is exhausting. Take some time to treat yourself. These spots, some of which are family-friendly and some of which are adults-only, will serve up the holiday experience you crave.

Seattle Center

The Seattle Christmas Market is back at Seattle Center, with some 20+ food and drink booths to try. Munch on holiday faves like bratwurst, currywurst, raclette, goulash, handbrot, pretzels, meat pies, schnitzel, borscht, and spatzle. If Christmas is for sweet treats, try strudel, scones, churros, crepes, cream puffs, and chimney cakes. Drinks include hot chocolate, apple cider, and gluhwein for the grown-ups.

Rob Roy

Drop in as this space turns into Miracle for the holidays. The name of the pop-up is cocktails and there are quite a few to try here, all designed by award-winning cocktail makers. New this year are the Stocking Stuffer (bourbon, sherry, amaro, cinnamon syrup, and iced hot chocolate) and Crooked Antler (brandy, port, hazelnut liquor, and chestnut orgeat).

Purple Cafe and Wine Bar

For the season, this spot has transformed into Santa’s Detour. Enjoy spirited cocktails, including a Yippee-Ki-Yay Mother Fluffer (mezcal and toasted marshmallow syrup), Someone Special (a gin or vodka martini with rosemary-infused vermouth), mulled wine, and more — plus bites.

The Elf Bar

This magical pop-up inside the Astra Hotel features hundreds of elves (as figurines, not actual elves, sadly), an upside-down Christmas tree, and games only elves (and elf lovers) love to play. Make a reservation online to swing by and check it out — holiday food and cocktails are on offer, and folks 16 and up can enter with a parent, although those under 21 obviously can’t drink booze and must be accompanied by an adult.

Hyatt Regency Seattle

For the first time ever, the Hyatt Regency is hosting an enchanted holiday gathering at which it builds a winter forest experience. Walk through the lights, get some hot chocolate and cider, and have a holly jolly holiday.

W Seattle

The hotel will host holiday mix-and-match events on December 5, December 12, and December 19; each night features a different type of alcohol from a local distillery and a specialty cocktail made to enjoy. Woodinville Bourbon Whiskey, Big Gin, and Vido Vodka are participating. The evenings will also feature different DJs working with a mood-curated playlist. Tickets are available online.

Christmas Dive Bar

For those who want the holidays loaded with disco balls, a ceiling covered with ornaments, and fun cocktails such as the Espresso Nog-tini, Gingerbread Old Fashioned, and Grinch Martini, this is the place. Let all things Xmas explode — and don’t forget to add some colorful group shots.
