The Maker of the Megadilla Is Closing Both Locations
In very sad news for those that love giant burritos and gargantuan quesadillas, Flagsmash’s owner Jaime Gonzales announced yesterday that effective immediately the business would no longer be serving inside La Doña Cervecería.
Gonzales wrote, “This is not an expected or easy change to make, and as always, we thank you for your support since our inception as a pop-up at random breweries and events. You showed us what we did mattered and that support can’t be packaged or purchased.”
Flagsmash began as a food truck and pop-up when Gonzales was fed up with the 9 to 5 cubicle life. He launched in the dead of winter, serving border smashing food that borrowed a little bit of this and that flavor-wise from around the world, rolled it up and sometimes fried it into insanely fun-to-eat dishes.
The vacated space at Graze will soon be taken over by Moral Omnivore, a vegetable-loving food truck’s first brick and mortar.
