Marinated cheese with fresh spices
Method of preparation
- cow's cheese - 400 g
- basil - fresh
- thyme - fresh
- oregano - fresh
- red pepper - 1/4 tsp. hot flakes
- olives
- olive oil
- For the marinated cheese, you should choose a good hard cheese. The cheese can be any, but in this case I chose a good hard cow's cheese.
- Cut into equal sized cubes.
- I chose fresh spices because I think they have a stronger aroma and also convey freshness. Spices are washed and chopped.
- Place the cheese cubes in glass jars, alternating with olives and fresh spices.
- Finally, sprinkle with chili flakes. The amount is according to preference. Finally, pour quality olive oil into the jars.
- The closed jars will keep cool in the refrigerator for about a week.
- I use the ready-made cheeses as a salad topping, but they also make a great appetizer or snack. And the flavored olive oil can also be used for salads or in various dishes.
- It is great for making spaghetti.
- The marinated cheese with fresh spices is ready.
