Sheet tart with figs and goat cheese
I love sheet tarts. We recently made this fig and goat cheese sheet tart, and I can already tell you that it is delicious. The combination of the sweet figs and the salty goat cheese is heavenly. And to top it all off, we top the tart with prosciutto—yum! Making this fig and goat cheese sheet tart is super easy.
This fig sheet tart is delicious, but of course, other combinations are possible. Try this version with red onion and brie (This link opens in a new tab) and this one with tuna (This link opens in a new tab) is also highly recommended. You can top the sheet tart with anything you like, whatever you prefer. But you really shouldn't miss this version. Enjoy it!
Here's how to make it. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
Roll out the puff pastry and fold over the edges.
Crumble the goat cheese over the dough. Slice the figs and distribute them over the dough.
Slice a red onion into half rings and sprinkle it over the top.
Whisk the egg yolk and brush the edges of the dough with the egg.
Bake the sheet cake in the oven for 15 minutes until golden brown.
Spread the prosciutto over the fig and goat cheese tart. Garnish with some arugula, chopped pistachios, and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
