Cinnamon Baton Bread

Ingredients for the Dough

  • ½ cup powdered sugar

1 glass of warm milk

1 packet of virtual dry – 10 gr.

Ingredients for Cinnamon Paste

  • 100 gr. butter

Ingredients for Frosting

1 heaping tablespoon of labneh – 50 gr.

1 cup powdered sugar

  • Juice of half a lemon

For the dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the dry yeast, granulated sugar, and milk. In a separate mixing bowl, place the flour and make a well in the center. Add the yeast mixture. Add the melted butter and egg. Mix with a fork first. Add the salt around the edges and begin kneading. Knead until the dough is smooth. Cover the mixing bowl tightly with plastic wrap and let it rise for 1 hour.

For the cinnamon mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the sugars and cinnamon. In a separate mixing bowl, combine the melted butter.

To assemble: Roll out the risen dough on the counter and cut it into slices slightly smaller than the size of your baking pan. Dip each slice first in butter, then in cinnamon sugar. Arrange them vertically in a loaf pan. Let the dough rise in the pan for 10 minutes. Bake the prepared rolls in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 30-35 minutes.

For the frosting: In a mixing bowl, combine the butter and powdered sugar. Stir with a spatula. Add the lemon juice and grated cheese and continue mixing.

To serve: Remove the baked bun from the oven and place it on a serving plate. Drizzle the prepared frosting over it and serve.
