Pork belly soup at Cook4Me, quick and creamy
1 small celery
The quick beef belly soup recipe at Cook4Me is perfect for those times when you don't have the time or patience to prepare it the traditional way. This type of soup is one that lasts. In our family, my dad was the one who prepared it for special occasions. He usually made it for holidays or birthdays. I remember he spent almost half a day cooking it. He used a huge pot and the flame of the stove. He bought fresh beef belly, didn't pre-cook it, and boiled it for hours.
He would also add beef bones and definitely a few pieces of beef broth. He would boil everything patiently, check several times if all the ingredients were well cooked and he was never in a hurry. He did everything slowly and with a lot of patience. Maybe that's why it turned out so tasty. I admit that I don't have his patience.
I prefer to make quick pot belly soup because I want to have the food ready much faster. With 2 still quite young children and a demanding job, I never have as much time as I would like. I just want to have the daily meal ready for the whole family as quickly and easily as possible. I usually have about 30 minutes at my disposal, maximum an hour for dinner.
The kids are coming home from school, we're finishing up work, so the food needs to be ready. I often turn to technology to make things faster. When I have meat that takes a long time to cook, I use the Tefal Cook4Me multicooker. It cuts down on the cooking time a lot, and the meat is tender every time. I also use it for beans, dried peas, and any other ingredient that takes a long time to cook.
