IMODAE celebrates 10 years of fashion and entrepreneurship

The Fashion and Business Institute (IMODAE) celebrated its tenth anniversary with an intimate and emotional dinner at Food & Wine Table, surrounded by collaborators, professors, alumni, strategic partners and media who have accompanied the institution in this first decade of history.

The celebration began with an elegant cocktail party where guests were welcomed with music and Condesa Gin drinks. The host chef personally presented the menu, specially designed for the occasion, which was a sensory experience inspired by Mexican ingredients and presented in a contemporary style.

During dessert, the most significant and emotional moments unfolded. Master of ceremonies Lucchi Ramírez introduced key figures in IMODAE's history. Professor Sergio Juárez, with over six years as part of the community, shared his pride in being part of a project that fosters talent with authenticity. Later, alumna Kathy Loyo spoke about the transformative experience of studying at IMODAE, from starting from scratch to walking a runway in Dubai thanks to the institution. Finally, founders Karla and Lorena Sarti delivered a speech that touched the hearts of everyone present.

Today I feel deeply moved. Ten years ago, we began this dream with many doubts, but with great determination. IMODAE wasn't built on its own; it's thanks to the daily effort, the mistakes, the growth, and the commitment of all of you. Thank you for building with us a space where dreams are transformed into real projects.” – Lorena Sarti, co-founder and academic director of IMODAE.

It has been a decade of learning, of starting businesses, of making mistakes and getting back up again. Of seeing hundreds of people grow and understanding that when you build with your heart, you leave a mark. And this… is ours.” – Karla Sarti, founder of IMODAE and México Está de Moda.

Awards that leave a mark

One of the most anticipated moments of the evening was the presentation of diplomas to professors, collaborators, and strategic partners, recognizing their career achievements, commitment, and invaluable contributions to IMODAE. The founders presented the diplomas individually, offering a personal gesture of gratitude.

Among those honored were: Marco Corral, Andrea González, Laura García, Agustín Mina, Rodrigo Villagrán, Sergio Juárez, Enrique Ortega, Kathy Loyo, Eduardo Enciso, Lucchi Ramírez, Melisa Espósito, Jorge Ruiz, José Mario, Susana Alpízar, Daniela Pérez, among others.

Lucchi also invited attendees to answer questions related to IMODAE, with correct answers receiving a gift from IMODAE. At the end of the event, Karla Sarti presented guests with a bag from Mitote Café, her new venture with México Está de Moda. Mitote is a Mexican café that celebrates stories and roots, designed as an experience that connects culture, tradition, and lifestyle.

A decade, more than 3,500 students and a community that continues to grow

In the past 10 years, IMODAE has trained over 3,500 students, offered more than 450 courses and diplomas, and developed specialized programs in areas such as fashion styling, coolhunting, fashion marketing, personal image, and event planning. Furthermore, it has established partnerships with leading brands and institutions such as Cinépolis and Grupo Julio, and participated in events like Vogue's 20th anniversary and Fashion Week Mexico.

IMODAE reaffirms its commitment to educational innovation, academic excellence, and the professionalization of the fashion industry in Mexico and Latin America.
