Celebrity Chef to Cardi B and Kendrick Lamar Opens Atlanta Brunch Spot
Bryant “Chef Baul” Williams, who worked as a private chef to rappers like Cardi B., Kendrick Lamar, and Gucci Mane, brings more of his culinary accumen to the public with the opening of upscale all-day-breakfast spot Betty Sue’s.
Williams opens Betty Sue’s with his partner Daniella Williams, a financial literacy expert and former celebrity hairstylist. This will be their second restuarant together, after the opening of soul food stop Binky’s.
Inspired by Bryant’s grandmother, Betty Sue, the restaurant will feature Southern comfort fare in a cozy atmosphere. The menu includes breakfast and brunch staples like chicken and waffles, French toast, salmon croquettes, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, and oxtails and grits. All can be topped with Bryant’s Hotlanta sauce, a honey hot sauce.
Bryant is a self-taught chef with expertise in Southern, Caribbean, and Asian flavors. He started Chef Baul Catering in 2013, and eventually took on many celebrity clients. He toured with rap group Migos as their personal chef while on tour. His first try at a restaurant fell through, but when he met Daniella, she was able to help Bryant with her knowledge in business and finance.
Once open, Betty Sue’s will serve breakfast and brunch on Tuesday through Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
