I cut eggs for salad without a grater or knife: it only takes 1 minute

How to properly crush eggs: Hard-boil them, cool them, and peel them, writes day.ru.

I used to grate eggs on a fine grater and then wash the yolk off the grater. Or I'd cut them with a knife, which would stick to the whites. Until my mother-in-law showed me a simple trick, I now always do it this way. I'm sharing.

Why a masher is so good: The holes in the working part act like a grid. When you press down, the egg white and yolk pass through, turning into crumbs of equal size. No time-consuming chopping.

How to properly crush eggs: Hard-boil them, cool them, and peel them, writes day.ru. My life hack: let them cool completely—cold whites are denser and easier to separate. I place the peeled egg under a masher and press firmly directly over a bowl. The crumbs fall out on their own.

What dishes is it good for? Ideal for salads with mayonnaise or sour cream—the pieces are evenly distributed and blend well with the sauce. I also use it for filling tartlets, lavash, and stuffed vegetables. If you want a more delicate consistency, mash it with a fork along with the dressing.

Less fuss after cooking: The masher is easy to clean immediately: the yolk doesn't have time to dry on the metal. All you need is warm water and dish soap.

My conclusion: One tool replaces a knife and a board, and eggs turn into neat crumbs in just a few strokes. Try it – you'll never go back to a grater. Read also:
